down. town.

down.town. vinyl photographic collage, 32.6' x 43.5', 2015

down. town. is a large-scale photograph-based public art installation installed on the wall of the CBC building on Hamilton Street in downtown Vancouver in November 2015.  The large piece, 43 feet wide, was created after research into the question as to how many buildings have come down in the downtown corridor of Vancouver between 1954 and 2015. The research into the demolition history of downtown Vancouver and the process of creating the work is detailed at down-town.org.

down.town. was also included in a group exhibition, Women Deliver Cities, installed at the Vancouver Public Library Central Branch and curated by Germaine Koh, in 2019.
